What People Are Saying.

“My family (me, husband and 2 daughters - 19 & 12) stayed here for the week of 4th of July. The home is in a fabulous location: quiet road, and yet just a few miles to Central Ave and everything Hot Springs has to offer. It is only a couple miles from a Harp’s Food Store, which also has a gas station with the cheapest gas around. The home itself is older, and while it may not be as “polished” as some others out there, I loved the charm of it. The sofas are comfy, bed was acceptable, and there’s plenty of seating in and out of the house. Again, did I mention the location? We literally had front row seats to the fireworks over Lake Hamilton on the Saturday before the 4th. The were launched from behind the house that is on the way to the lake. There were upwards of 50 boats gathered in the area to watch the show as well, and it was an awesome memory making moment for us. The host is very quick to respond and very accommodating, even purchasing a couple of outdoor games after I inquired before our trip if there were any. There were also board games to choose from.

While we were there we initially didn’t have hot water in the bathroom (heads up, there’s only one and countertop space is in short supply) but the host called several plumbers and had it fixed by the time we returned from our outing. There is a neighbor with signs up by his dock that make it clear he doesn’t like having a VRBO/Airbnb next door. While kayaking, I smiled and waved at him, since it’s the polite thing to do. He looked straight at me, but did not acknowledge me. I feel like as long as a guest isn’t unreasonably loud or having a house part, he shouldn’t be a problem - just don’t expect a bff net door!

Bottom line is that the place was great, location absolutely wonderful, and we will definitely be back in the future!”

“Perfect lake location. Coffee on the back deck in the mornings was our favorite. This place is a great decompression spot. It is a bit of a drive to downtown Hot Springs, but we didn’t mind it. Great stay.”

“We enjoyed our time at the lake house, it worked well for our family of 3. The neighborhood was really quiet. The location worked well for us. It was close enough to town but not too close so it felt tucked away and peaceful.”

“Great lake house! Our family had a wonderful stay. Our kids loved swimming and dishing off the docks; and my husband and I loved the sunsets on the deck. We will definitely stay again soon!”

“Lovely, clean interior. The outside patio and deck access to the lake is amazing.

Beware - there are neighbor postings that are expressive all over the neighborhood and more so on the neighboring property.

That weirdness aside, we loved it and clearly abided by “party rules”. We are a family. Wouldn’t recommend for young, rowdy group.”

Nice, small, simple home with a great view of the lake, a private dock and a large outdoor deck to enjoy when cool enough.

Owner response: “Thank you very much for your kind words and I am delighted y’all enjoyed your stay! I am truly sorry you had to bear witness the manner in which one specific neighbor chose to express his feelings about short-term rentals in general during your stay, but to our future guests… these signs have since been taken down as of early August 2022 and (as always) we will continue to ask that our guests be as respectful as possible and treat this house and the neighbors exactly the same as they would want guests of a short-term rental next to their primary residence as well. This is a neighborhood of the sweetest, exceptionally hospitable, and mostly full-time residents and we will always ask our guests to continue to keep that in mind (just as they have always done). And Carrie is definitely correct - this is most definitely NOT the house, nor the location, for a rowdy group (or any large group) whatsoever. Thank you again for your stay and we sincerely hope to see y’all back very soon!” ~Kimberly
